I was a little apprehensive about buying a guitar over the internet – generally like to hear an instrument in person before I take the plunge – but my experience with Music Villa was amazing. Tony was incredibly responsive and I’m in love with my new guitar (Martin OMJM).

I’ve purchased, both, the Martin HD-28 & OMJM and in the case of the HD-28, Tony’s review (HD-28 vs. D-28) was one of the deciding factors that helped me decide on that guitar. The reviews are always well done, informative, not to mention that I’ve learned more about tonewoods since I subscribed than in all the time previous. But most of all, I love trying to piece together Tony’s riffs. Keep them coming!

Hi Tony, It’s GREAT to see and hear specially crafted guitars I’ll never hear anywhere else! I really appreciate your attention for consistency between the various clips in the side-by-side comparisons. It’s a pretty tall order to make everything a “Constant” when doing A/Bs. Your demonstration of several different styles of playing, while repeating the same chord patterns and picking riffs, is particularly helpful.
In part 2 of 3, Ren opens up and gets VERY personal. “Sad on one hand, glad on the other – because I couldn’t see any forward momentum…there is a chain of command at Gibson and…you don’t jump it.” It’s a complete story and you’ll want to hear every word of it. Please leave a […]
Tony sat down with master luthier, Ren Ferguson to find out the real story behind his recent move from Gibson to Guild. (this is part 1 of 3). On the surface it started as a hunting accident (this story alone is worth the time to watch this series). Ren had plenty of time to ruminate […]
Tony, I must say that you have the best review channel on You tube for guitars.
Also you review the guitars that serious players would invest in across the price spectrum, the selection of models is impeccable and the little songs you play just about show all that the instrument can do. Top class. I am really happy I signed up for your news letter.
